I use two tripods, I like the Manfrotto make as the quality of the product is excellent. I tend to use the Aluminium for the video work as the tripod is a little heavier than the Carbon Fibre tripod. I tend to use the Carbon Fibre tripod for still camera work as the light weight of the Carbon Fibre tripod is brilliant for walking any distance. I originally acquired the Carbon Fibre tripod to climb a volcano to take images of an eruption. I use a combination of a light weight alloy head for still photography and a panning head for video work.
