This short video is a review of the brilliant Alcatel Mobile WIFI Hotspot Router. I bought this product because I find that the roaming imposed by our local service provider is very expensive and I can acquire competitive “pay as you go” sim cards from a number of service providers. I also use this device to up load data and videos as the up load speed is faster than my land line broad band speed.
The mobile device is really easy to use, simply plug in the USB cable into the unit to charge the battery. The battery has about six hours usage and has a battery saving mode when not used for a period of time. The sim card is slotted into a port behind the battery. There is also a port for a SD card to store data if required. It is not necessary to insert a SD card though.
The power switch is on the side of the unit with four lights at the front of the unit to indicate that it is acquiring a mobile signal, transmitting a wifi signal, receipt of a SMS message and a battery light which indicates that it is charging and operating. Logging in to the unit is easy. On the back of the battery cover factory default identification of the unit and the password. Simply log in your lap top, mobile phone or any other device you normally use WIFI for as you would any other router..
